In the beginning.....

A small group of dedicated staff have come together to discuss the idea of introducing BYOD into Waiopehu College, we feel that this will enhance our students education and learning and further grow and develop our students.  We want our parents and community to be in the loop with regards to what we are discussing and why we are discussing it.  Five staff are involved in this process, Guy Reichenbach, Ant Kennedy, Scott Waring-Flood, Katie Peters and Sarah Collett along with an outside adviser, Mike Perry from Core Education.

The process has began with a round table meeting to form a draft strategic plan, with the first focus being around exploring what other schools are doing in regards to BYOD, what works and what doesn't work.

Katie will be visiting Hobsonville Point Secondary School in the coming weeks, as well as Albany Senior High.  The remainder of the team will also visit Otaki and Porirua to see what is happening there.  The link below will show you the amazing things happening at Hobsonville Point.
